Domain Home Accessories & Gallery will host a reception to highlight the work of Gulfport photographer and graphic artist Charles Marton during its next “Meet the Artists” event on Saturday, October 18th, 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at 3129 Beach Boulevard South.

Charles’ photographs of Gulfport scenes as featured in a series of greeting cards have been a popular addition to the assortment of cards carried at Domain.  The artist will be on hand to discuss his work and answer questions.  Live jazz music will also be featured during the evening, and complimentary wine and hors d’oeuvre will be offered.

His 1998 architectural rendering of Stetson University’s new library building in Gulfport hangs in the Justice Department in Washington D.C.  His artworks are in collections all over the world including Hungary, Ireland, Australia and the USA.

Charles will be offering a large assortment of additional cards as well as prints for one night only during the “Meet the Artists” event.

Established in March 2001, Domain Home Accessories offers a large variety of unique art, décor, lighting, jewelry, cards, home goods and more, and has a well-earned a reputation as one of Gulfport’s most respected retailers.  “& Gallery” opened in 2012 in the adjacent space and showcases the work of over 40 local and regional artists.

“Meet the Artists” events at “& Gallery” occur during Gulfport’s popular Third Saturday Art Walk.  Artists and artisans line the sidewalks of scenic Beach Boulevard on Art Walk evenings.  Independent shops and boutiques, live glassblowing at the Industrial Arts Center, live music venues, street performers, and Gulfport’s many popular restaurants are all part of the lively Art Walk scene.

Parking in the waterfront village is free and convenient.  Free trolleys are available for visitors parking in remote sites for transportation to and from the hub of Art Walk.
